Revolutionize Your parenting!

A virtual workshop to stop yelling and bring more joy to your home.

March 23, April 13, 27, May 18 @ 10 AM EST

transform your parenting: less yelling and yuck and more joy and ease

Are you feeling stuck in a parenting rut, feeling burned out, or tired of dealing with the same challenges and situations over and over again? Are you yelling more than you want or feel like the time outs are happening more often. Maybe you’re worried about repeating parenting mistakes or losing your connection with your child? Do you wonder how to resolve conflicts with your child without feeling like someone wins and someone loses?

Are you looking for ways to effectively and confidently incorporate gentle, relationship-led practices with your child? You want to parent differently but don’t know how. Modern parenting is tough, challenging, and can feel very isolating. It can be easy to doubt yourself, compare yourself to others, or feel like you’re doing it “wrong.”

Let me assure you: you are already a wonderful parent. You’ve read the books, scoured the blogs, maybe even taken some parenting classes. You’ve invested so much time hard work to find a solution that works for your family. You care about your relationship with your child, her feelings, and developing a household full of love and joy. Yet, you might still lose your temper more than you’d like, use punishment more than you want, or feel an overall sense of unease or fear.

For many parents who have tried to find new and better ways of parenting the books and blogs may just not be enough. Something is still missing. The books and blogs can’t take into account your family or your upbringing. They don’t offer a compassionate listener, a supportive coach, and a welcoming community.

To make real and lasting change in your family, you need a workshop that will:

  • Teach simple, effective skills for parenting

  • Allow you to explore your upbringing and it’s effect on your parenting

  • Consider the needs of both you and your child

  • Explore your child’s developing brain and the effect it has on her behavior

  • Provide a safe place for asking questions, making mistakes, and encouraging growth

The Parenting Masterclass is an opportunity to learn new, more effective ways of interacting with your child (and maybe even your spouse!) that prioritizes connection and respect. Imagine a home where you feel confident in:

  • Effectively resolving conflicts without someone “losing”

  • Reducing sibling rivalry and physical aggression

  • Preventing or minimizing temper tantrums

  • Increasing cooperation

  • Getting your needs met and prioritizing your self-care

  • Working together with your spouse as a parenting team

  • Knowing what parenting tool to use when- and saying goodbye to yelling, punishment, shame, guilt, or time-outs.

With this workshop, you will fill your tool box with simple, clear, and effective tools to bring about lasting change in your home. You will learn to recognize your own overwhelm and how to stay present for your child during times of high emotions, instead of reacting to your child’s behavior- leading to punishment that doesn’t work or feels yucky.  You learn to effectively express your needs while encouraging your child to express theirs. You will gain insight into your child’s developing mind and why it is hard for them to follow directions, listen, or cooperate the way you wish they would. You will be supported by other parents in similar situations while also receiving hands-on guidance from someone who has been there, too.

Module 1- The Parent Archetype

How do parents parent? We will look at parenting values, what skills you have, and what is working in your relationship with your child. We will look at our needs, limits, and triggers. We will identify when our buttons are being pushed and how to prevent disciplining from this place. We’ll explore the concepts of co-regulation and self-regulation- how you are the most important tool in your toolbox. We will also look at what’s happening in your child’s mind and what you can reasonably expect from children at different ages and stages of development.

Module 2- Emotions Matter- Raising Emotionally Intelligent Kids

You will build your own emotional vocabulary to help your children build theirs. You will be able to help your children through their big or strong emotions without feeling like you need to “fix” them. You will learn what to do when your children cry. You will learn to reduce temper tantrums, aggression, and angry outbursts. You will practice how to really listen to our children so that they can make good choices and empower themselves.

Module 3- Connection, Conflict, and Communication

This week you will look at how to build connection and healthy attachment. We’ll share stories from our own families. You will learn simple and effective ways of communicating. You will learn conflict resolution methods so that you can avoid power struggles and arguments.

Module 4- Connection-based Discipline- Letting go of Toxic Guilt and Shame

This week you learn skills for healthy discipline without using guilt or shame. We will look at why time-outs don’t work and what to do instead. You will learn what to do when you do lose your temper (we’re only human!) and how to maintain a connected relationship. You’ll learn effective skills to revolutionize your parenting.

Each module is offered separately for people who want to focus on one aspect OR as a whole 4-module experience. The full workshop experience includes a private online group with extra videos and support. Participants in the full workshop experience will receive the Parenting Master Class workbook, filled with important information, journal prompts, daily activities, and everything you need to build your parenting toolbox. Participants can also add individual coaching sessions during the duration of the program for a discounted price if they’d like to go even deeper.

All calls will be recorded in the event that you can’t attend live.

See what people are saying!

“The workshop was enlightening for my husband and I. We've tried various parenting programs and approaches in the past, but they often felt very scripted and didn't always have applications for the circumstances we often encounter with our kids. What we really liked about Cindy's course is that it provided more flexible tools and techniques; this allowed us to use them in a more natural, non-scripted way, that in turn was more effective. Additionally, we learned the neuroscience behind the tools and their objectives.”  - S & G

This class is for you if:

  • You are a parent or caregiver of a child any age, or someone who is expecting or works with children

  • You feel like you’ve tried everything and nothing works, changes, or sticks

  • You are struggling to discipline effectively or discipline feels yucky

  • You and your spouse/co-parent want help working together as a parenting team

  • You want transform your home with a new, different approach based on respect, science, and research

  • You are looking for a supportive parenting community

NEWBORN SLEEP DEMYSTIFIED: 0-12 MONTH SLEEP SUCCESS

Your baby is up all night! Let’s get you both some sleep, gently and holistically.

June 2024

Feeling confused by newborn sleep? You're not alone!

Your newborn is up all night and sleeps during the day. Naps for 2 minutes or 2 hours. Naps on you, off you, in the car, or not at all!

Maybe your newborn slept great but hit 4 months and wants to eat all night or never be put down!

Newborn sleep is it's own special experience- plagued by misconceptions, misinformation, and LOTS of unwanted advice!

Do I swaddle, shush? Do I sleep train? Do I co-sleep or bed-share? Are regressions real? What routine or book is best? So many decisions to make while being exhausted and just wanting to sleep.

This live, virtual workshop will cover all of those topics and answer all your newborn and infant questions so that you can feel prepared and your whole family can get better sleep right away.

Sleep deprivation can lead to physical and emotional health challenges, strain your relationships, impact your work performance, and can feel like a never-ending cycle. Getting good sleep is a must for adults and infants alike. You don't have to endure excessive night waking or sleep deprivation.

Whether you co-sleep, room-share, or have separate rooms- all are welcome! Whether your baby was sleep-trained or not, nurses at night or not- all are welcome!

My approach to sleep is no-shame, no-blame- backed by solid sleep science, brain development, attachment theory, and gentle practices.

All workshop are kept small so participants will have time to share their own sleep challenges. Attendees will also receive one week of UNLIMITED follow-up email support from me to help you put what you learn into place and improve your whole family's sleep.

Have questions or want to know if this is the right fit for you- feel free to reach out at cindy@holisticsleepcenter.com.

frequently asked questions

  • Are the workshops recorded?

I don’t record the sleep workshops because people may share sensitive information and I want them to feel comfortable doing that. Attending live also offers participants to ask as many questions as they want. I do record workshops that are more than one session.

  • I don’t believe in sleep training. Is this workshop for me?

Yes! These workshops are perfect for any parent. I always discuss a variety of approaches and can provide information if people do want to sleep train and also provide information to support them if they don't.

  • I am exhausted and have tried a millions approaches! Can this really help my child?

Yes! Reading books or trying on your own can only help so much. There is nothing more valuable than working with a seasoned sleep professional who can take another look at what’s happening with your child’s sleep. Also, not all authors who write books geared toward sleep are actual sleep experts.

  • Does your approach involve a lot of crying?

I don’t believe that a baby needs to cry to develop “soothing skills” or to learn how to fall asleep. I do believe that babies can learn, adapt to predictable routines, and are able to develop the ability to self-regulate over time. Crying is a baby’s way of communicating, produces hormones to help in self-regulation, and is bound to happen when a baby is tired or frustrated. My approach is designed to minimize crying as much as possible, but no approach can prevent it entirely- no matter how gentle or responsive.

  • What’s your success rate? When can I expect to see improvement?

My parents are very successful in helping their children sleep better. I take a personalized approach that helps increase success while also looking at what children are developmentally ready to do. Each workshop attendant receives one week of unlimited email support to answer questions that come up and to ensure they are successful after completion.
